“Zero Plastic” is strengthened with more than 2000 undergraduates from universities in Sri Lanka and we are addressing and socializing the issues related to the use of plastics in a new way. Every month of the year we collect thrown away plastics from public places in Sri Lanka and hand it over for recycling. In addition, we are working to educate and empower the communities around us to curtail this plastic crisis.
The last beach clean up program was executed by Kelaniya undergraduates on the Wellawatte beach, Colombo.
