ZeroPlastic Club Combines Mindfulness and Eco-Friendly Crafts in Rhythm of a Greener Mind Project
The ZeroPlastic Movement organized “Rhythm of a Greener Mind,” a project designed to promote environmental awareness, ZeroPlastic practices, and mental well-being among university volunteers through a combination of creative and mindfulness-based activities.
The project was organized to introduce participants to environmentally conscious habits while also supporting their mental well-being. By combining hands-on creative work with mindfulness exercises, the project aimed to encourage young volunteers to consider how everyday choices, such as fashion and personal accessories, can align with environmentally responsible practices.
During the project, participants took part in a bracelet-making activity using natural wooden beads and evil eye beads, offering a practical introduction to sustainable fashion alternatives. This was followed by a mindfulness session that included relaxing music and environmental-themed mandala colouring. The colouring activity was designed to help participants relax, improve their focus, and reflect on their connection with the natural environment.
Group activities also formed a central part of the project. These exercises encouraged communication, cooperation, and leadership among participants, fostering teamwork in a relaxed and creative setting. Feedback was collected from participants at the end of the session to help evaluate their experience and the effectiveness of the activities.
The project provided participants with an opportunity to engage with environmental themes in a way that went beyond conventional awareness campaigns. By linking ZeroPlastic principles with creative expression and personal well-being, the activities offered a more rounded approach to environmental engagement, one that connected ecological responsibility with everyday habits and self-care.
