Eco Talk – Series 0.1, an awareness session and membership drive organized by ZeroPlastic CINEC Campus, brought together university volunteers and participants from the Faculty of Science at CINEC Campus to address the growing challenge of plastic pollution and introduce pathways for student involvement in environmental action.

Raising Awareness on Plastic Pollution and Sustainable Practices

The session was designed to educate participants about plastic pollution, its environmental impacts, and the importance of adopting sustainable practices in daily life. Participants were introduced to the ZeroPlastic Movement, including its mission, vision, and the initiatives carried out by the ZeroPlastic club at CINEC Campus.

A key part of the programme focused on the role of youth in environmental conservation. The session highlighted how young people can contribute meaningfully to sustainability efforts through organized volunteer action and community-level projects.

Interactive Discussion on Volunteering and Skill Development

An interactive discussion gave participants the opportunity to learn about the practical benefits of volunteering with ZeroPlastic CINEC Campus. The conversation covered opportunities to develop leadership, teamwork, communication, and project management skills, all while contributing to environmental and community projects. This approach connected personal development with collective environmental responsibility, offering participants a clear picture of what involvement in the movement looks like in practice.
