🌟 IgniteX 2026 – Empowering the Future Leaders 🌟
IgniteX 2026, the leadership development programme organized by the ZeroPlastic Club of the University of Ruhuna, was successfully held on 9th May 2026 from 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. at the Prof. R.M. Ranaweera Banda Hall, Faculty of Arts. The programme was conducted with the participation of nearly 80 enthusiastic volunteers and students who gathered with the common goal of developing leadership qualities, communication skills, teamwork, and self-confidence.
The programme was organized to inspire young individuals to become responsible, confident, and effective future leaders while creating a platform for learning, interaction, and personal growth. Throughout the day, participants actively engaged in leadership-focused activities, discussions, and motivational sessions that encouraged collaboration, critical thinking, and self-development.
The highlight of the programme was the inspiring session conducted by Mr. Pramesh Wickramasinghe, an award-winning Business & Finance Journalist and Corporate Trainer. His energetic and practical approach created a highly interactive atmosphere where participants were encouraged to think beyond limitations and face real-life challenges with confidence and determination. His valuable experiences and motivational guidance left a lasting impact on all participants and greatly contributed to the success of IgniteX 2026.
The success of this programme was made possible through the dedication, teamwork, and commitment of the organizing committee and volunteers who worked tirelessly to ensure the smooth coordination of all activities. Their enthusiasm and cooperation created a positive and energetic learning environment throughout the programme.
Participants were able to improve their leadership abilities, teamwork, communication skills, and self-confidence through interactive sessions and engaging activities conducted during the programme. E-certificates were awarded to all participants in appreciation of their active involvement and dedication.
IgniteX 2026 concluded successfully as a meaningful and impactful initiative that motivated students to strengthen their leadership abilities and prepare themselves to face future challenges with confidence and responsibility. The programme not only provided knowledge and inspiration but also created memorable experiences and valuable lessons that participants can carry forward in both their academic and personal lives.
