ZeroPlastic Community Hosts Environmental Awareness Program at SIBA Campus Dhamma School

The ZeroPlastic Community at SIBA Campus organized a project titled “Clean Heart – Green Future” at the SIBA Campus Dhamma School on 18th October 2026. The project was designed to raise awareness among Dhamma school students about plastic pollution and environmental protection.

The initiative aimed to educate young learners about the harmful effects of plastic waste and encourage them to reduce plastic use in their daily lives. By engaging school students through creative and educational activities, the project sought to build early awareness of environmental responsibility.

As part of the project, an art competition was held for primary school students under the theme “Our Clean Green World Without Plastic.” The competition provided an opportunity for younger participants to express their understanding of environmental issues through artwork. In addition to the art competition, other school students received educational input on the impact of plastic pollution and the importance of adopting eco-friendly habits.

The project combined creative engagement with environmental education, encouraging school students to think about how their everyday choices affect the environment. Through the art competition and awareness sessions, participants were introduced to practical ways of reducing plastic waste in their surroundings.

The activity contributed to building environmental awareness among Dhamma school students at an early age. By using age-appropriate methods such as art and discussion, the project made environmental concepts accessible and relevant to young learners, reinforcing the value of responsible habits.

The project was carried out with the support and cooperation of Dhamma School teachers, ZeroPlastic Community members, and student volunteers. Their coordination and teamwork helped ensure the smooth organization of both the awareness program and the art competition.
