The ZeroPlastic NISD Club, operating under the ZeroPlastic Movement, organized “Coastline Quest,” a gamified beach cleanup held on August 22, 2026, at Moya Beach. Sponsored by Aqua Dynamics, the event brought together 100 volunteers who were divided into 20 teams of five to collect and segregate coastal waste along the shoreline.

The project was designed to combine environmental action with friendly competition, encouraging volunteers to engage actively in waste collection while learning about responsible waste sorting. By introducing a game-based format to a beach cleanup, the organizers aimed to promote awareness of marine conservation and foster a sense of collective responsibility among participants.

During the cleanup, the 20 teams worked across the beach to gather and segregate waste materials found along the coast. The collected waste was weighed using a digital scale, and the team that collected the most was recognized as the winner. In total, volunteers collected approximately 800 kg of coastal waste over the course of the activity. The competitive element encouraged sustained participation and motivated teams to maximize their efforts throughout the event.

The 100 volunteers included university students as well as 10 teams fielded by Aqua Dynamics, reflecting a blend of youth and corporate participation. The structure of the event, with its team-based approach and measurable outcomes, gave young volunteers an opportunity to take on organizational and leadership roles within their respective groups. The format also provided a practical setting for participants to understand the importance of waste segregation, distinguishing between different types of coastal debris as they worked.
