A Day at Kingswood College with #ZeroPlasticUOP

What an inspiring day it was at Kingswood College, Kandy! Our #ZeroPlastic Club from the University of Peradeniya had the privilege of conducting a dynamic #ZeroPlastic awareness session with their enthusiastic students.

It’s truly heartening to witness the passion and engagement of young minds who grasp the profound importance of environmental well-being. These students are part of a rising generation that inherently understands a fundamental truth: the planet’s health comes before anything else.

During our session, we shared insights into the pervasive issue of plastic pollution, its impact on our beautiful island nation, and practical steps everyone can take to reduce their plastic footprint. The discussions were vibrant, and the students showed a genuine eagerness to become agents of change.

At the #ZeroPlastic Club, our mission goes beyond just raising awareness; we’re actively working to cultivate a future where environmental protection isn’t just an option, but an inherent priority for every individual. We believe that by engaging with schools like Kingswood College, we’re slowly but surely nurturing a generation that will champion sustainable practices and demand a healthier planet.

This initiative reinforces our core belief: Planet is first, not profit! It’s a simple yet powerful mantra that guides our efforts and resonates deeply with the students we meet.

A huge thank you to Kingswood College, Kandy, for their warm welcome and for partnering with us in this vital educational endeavor. Together, we are building a more sustainable future, one aware student at a time.
