Haritha Dham Pada 2.0 By ZeroPlastic National Institute of Social Development

Haritha Dham Pada 2.0 is a community initiative organized by ZeroPlastic National Institute of Social Development with the aim of promoting environmental awareness through the teachings of Buddhism. The project was designed to encourage individuals to adopt a sustainable and environmentally responsible lifestyle while raising awareness about the importance of reducing plastic use and protecting nature.

During the session, a special Dhamma sermon was delivered by Indurare Dhammarathana Thero. In his sermon, the Thero emphasized the importance of protecting the environment, conserving natural resources, and practicing a mindful lifestyle guided by the principles of the Dhamma. He highlighted how Buddhist teachings encourage compassion toward all living beings and responsibility toward nature, inspiring participants to reflect on their daily actions and environmental impact.

The event was successfully organized with the active participation and dedication of ZeroPlastic Club volunteers, whose efforts helped create a meaningful and engaging program for the community.

Through initiatives such as Haritha Dham Pada 2.0, participants were encouraged to develop environmentally conscious attitudes rooted in spiritual values. By connecting environmental responsibility with spiritual guidance, the initiative demonstrates how cultural and religious teachings can play a powerful role in promoting sustainable living within communities.
