Bloom Wraps: Nurturing Creativity for a Greener Future

ZeroPlastic University of Peradeniya successfully organized Bloom Wraps, an environmental innovation project that encouraged school students to share their creative eco-friendly ideas to promote a sustainable future. This initiative created a platform for young innovators to present practical solutions that contribute to protecting the environment.

With the support of our generous sponsors Mr. Mohana Kumara and Upeksha Elders Home , the event included engaging activities and interactive sessions designed to inspire innovation and responsible environmental practices. Participants were encouraged to think critically about everyday plastic use and explore actionable solutions.

The project attracted over 50 participants, who submitted a variety of creative and thoughtful ideas focused on environmental protection and sustainability.

On the final day of Bloom Wraps, five selected school students were invited to present their innovative eco-friendly ideas. These students were chosen from a pool of highly creative submissions. To recognize their efforts, certificates were awarded to the first three winners, while the other presenting participants received certificates in appreciation of their valuable contributions.

The success of Bloom Wraps was made possible through the dedication and teamwork of Tharushi Dissanayake, Praboda Samarakoon, and all members of the organizing committee, as well as the project chairs, whose commitment ensured the smooth planning and organization of the initiative.

ZeroPlastic University of Peradeniya sincerely appreciates everyone who contributed to making Bloom Wraps a meaningful and successful project. Through creativity, collaboration, and action, Bloom Wraps highlights the importance of youth-led efforts in shaping a greener and more sustainable future
