The Arts Faculty NAT Building was recently transformed by a vibrant energy as the ZeroPlastic University of Peradeniya hosted New Leaf. More than just an orientation, this event marked the unfolding of a new chapter for the Arts Faculty ’23 batch, officially welcoming them into a global movement dedicated to a plastic-free future.

 

With an impressive turnout of over 280 participants, the programme demonstrated that the call for environmental stewardship resonates deeply with the new generation. New Leaf focused on empowering these students to take ownership of their environment, emphasizing that every small, sustainable choice contributes to a significant global impact. Through engaging presentations and interactive discussions, the new batch explored the society’s previous projects, seeing firsthand how collective dedication can turn environmental challenges into opportunities for growth.
