Legacy of Green Awards ’25 By ZeroPlastic CINEC

ZeroPlastic CINEC proudly hosted the Legacy of Green Awards ’25, a prestigious event dedicated to recognizing the unwavering commitment and outstanding contributions of its volunteers throughout the year.

The awards celebrated excellence across multiple categories, including Best Project of the Year, Best Project Head of the Year, Best Volunteer of the Year, Best Graphic Designer of the Year, and Best Caption Writer of the Year. In addition to these accolades, appreciation certificates and letters were presented to all volunteers who actively contributed to various projects, acknowledging their hard work and steadfast commitment to sustainability efforts.

The event also marked an important leadership transition. Appreciation letters were awarded to the Board Members of the 2025/2026 term in recognition of their service and dedication. Simultaneously, appointment letters were officially handed over to the newly selected Board Members for the 2026/2027 term, symbolizing continuity, responsibility, and renewed commitment toward environmental leadership.

The ceremony was led by Student President Sathsindu Heesara, whose guidance and vision played a pivotal role in the success of the initiative. The organizing committee worked collaboratively to ensure a well-coordinated and memorable event. Also, the event was conducted under the guidance and support of Ms. Pawani Kuragama, Lecture-in-Charge, whose mentorship ensured smooth execution and professional management throughout the ceremony.

More than an awards night, the Legacy of Green Awards ’25 stood as a celebration of teamwork, resilience, and shared purpose. By recognizing individual excellence while strengthening collective motivation, the event reinforced ZeroPlastic CINEC’s commitment to nurturing responsible environmental leaders and inspiring impactful projects in the years ahead.
