Eco Kids Project Promotes Plastic Reuse and Tree Planting Among Preschool Students

An environmental awareness initiative titled β€œEco Kids – Reuse Plastic & Plant Trees” was conducted to educate preschool students on the importance of reducing plastic waste and caring for the environment. The project focused on introducing young children to simple and practical ways of reusing plastic materials through creative and interactive activities.

During the program, reused plastic items were displayed as decorations, including crafts made from plastic bottles. Drawings were also used to help children understand how waste plastic can be turned into useful and attractive items. A sorting activity was conducted where students separated plastic from other materials, helping them learn the basic concept of recycling.

In addition, a small tree planting activity was organized using reused plastic containers as plant pots. This encouraged children to appreciate nature and understand the importance of growing plants. The activities were designed to be simple, engaging, and suitable for preschool students.

The Eco Kids project aimed to build environmental awareness at an early age by promoting reuse, creativity, and responsibility toward the environment. The initiative successfully inspired young learners to reuse plastic, plant trees, and keep their surroundings clean.

The project was designed by Nuwantha and penned by Domiya, with the support of volunteers who assisted in guiding the students throughout the activities. The program highlighted the importance of community involvement in promoting sustainable practices among children.

Through this initiative, the Eco Kids project contributed to encouraging environmentally responsible behavior and supporting the goals of reducing plastic waste for a greener future. πŸŒ±β™»οΈπŸŒ
