On September 20, 2025, the ZeroPlastic NDT Club organized a successful Beach Cleanup at Wadduwa to celebrate World Cleanup Day 2025. The event brought together 124 enthusiastic volunteers, including students, staff, and community members, who joined hands to restore the beauty of the coastal environment. Participants collected and sorted large amounts of plastic waste and other debris, raising awareness about the importance of reducing single-use plastics and protecting marine life. The initiative was sponsored by LOLC Finance, whose generous support played a vital role in providing cleanup materials and refreshments for the volunteers. The event not only promoted environmental responsibility but also strengthened the spirit of teamwork and sustainability within the community.
